Where is Domus Ferruccio?
At Via Ferruccio 44, 00185 Rome, in the Esquilino district, a few minutes from Termini station and Piazza Vittorio. Our annex, the Conte Residence, is around the corner at Via Conte Verde 16.
How far is it from Termini station?
About a 10-minute walk, or one metro stop on Line A to Vittorio Emanuele, 2 minutes from the door.
How far is the Colosseum?
About 15 minutes on foot. Santa Maria Maggiore is about 10 minutes.
How do I get there from Fiumicino airport?
Take the Leonardo Express train to Termini, then walk about 10 minutes or take Line A one stop. We can also book a licensed private driver door to door: €60 for 1 to 3 passengers, plus €15 between 21:30 and 06:30, paid to the driver. Book it on WhatsApp.
How do I get there from Ciampino airport?
Take an airport bus to Termini, then walk about 10 minutes or take Line A one stop to Vittorio Emanuele.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 11:00.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is from 14:00 and is always arranged with your host, who meets you in person at the house: send your arrival time by phone or WhatsApp. If you arrive after 22:00, we arrange a self check-in and you pay the city tax to the host the next morning.
Is it a hotel?
It is a small guesthouse with seven rooms, not a hotel. There is no front desk: your host comes by to welcome guests and whenever you need anything, and is always reachable by phone and WhatsApp.
Do all rooms have a private bathroom?
Yes. Every room has its own bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes, individually controlled in every room, with portable heaters available in winter.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free fibre-optic Wi-Fi throughout.
Is there a lift?
Yes, the main house has a lift to all upper floors.
Can I cook?
Yes. The shared kitchen has a stove, fridge, dishes and a fresh-bean coffee machine, and every room has a kettle and tea.
Is there laundry?
Yes, a washing machine, iron and ironing board are available to all guests.
What rooms do you have?
Seven rooms, all with private bathrooms. At Via Ferruccio 44: a Double, a Single, a Superior Triple with balcony and a Triple. In the Conte Residence annex: a Double/Triple Suite, a Double/Triple/Quadruple Suite, or the whole two-bedroom annex apartment for up to 7 guests.
Are children allowed?
Children aged 10 and over are welcome in every room. Children under 10 are not accepted at Domus Ferruccio (Via Ferruccio 44) or in the individual annex suites; families with children under 10 can book the whole Conte Residence annex apartment, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to 7 guests.
Where can I have breakfast nearby?
The shared kitchen has a fresh-bean coffee machine, and some of Rome’s best bakeries are a few minutes away, including Panella (since 1929) and Regoli Pasticceria.
Is the area safe?
Via Ferruccio is a quiet residential street. As around any big station, the streets right next to Termini are busier late at night. Guests often describe the house as quiet, safe and central.
What languages do you speak?
Italian and English.
